Mehendi

When someone can't do something I've generally heard the phrase "haath me mehendi lagaya hai kya? " (have you put henna in your hands?)

I always construed it as "when the henna is wet, it should not be disturbed and should be left to set so that the design is out well". But this time I put mehendi, I have a different opinion of the phrase.. I had it put on the occasion of a friend's wedding on Sunday and since then I've been cautious with getting my hands wet.. I haven't washed clothes in the last 4 days hoping the henna will remain for a few more days.. I'm so careful while doing the dishes or anything to do with water.. So it's not only about the wet henna, even the dried mehendi needs to be taken care of.. After all it's taken lots of efforts to have such beautiful design..

Oh about my henna, life doesn't stay still and all good things come to an end.. So my henna has begun fading too but I'm glad this lasted good 5 days before getting light in comparison to the previous record of 3..
